Uh-oh we have some work to do our dehydrated supply is only 1 year.   :rotfl:

Survival tip - the tin hat makes a great bacon fat catch (or drain) cup.  :silly:

Muddle a lime with some Mint add a splash of simple syrup (the start of a mojito).  Shake with 2-3 oz of Dewar's.  Pour into a high ball glass of ice and top with ginger ale.

Ok ..not being as familier with "mixology terminology" (say that 3 times fast), I had to Google the term "Muddle a lime"; I had no clue.. so now I have to take a trip to the liquor store for some Dewar's, and then to the grocery store for some mint and some limes, and I have to add a "muddler" to my man cave (no blueberry beer allowed) Is that something a liquor store sells or do I have to go to Home Depot? ...thanks Dan.

I was waiting for a bunch of little green elves to climb out of the ground (from underneath the clover) and start chucking key lime Pi at everyone.. from what I have been told (by a Leprechaun) that's a side effect after doing a few of Dan's "Dewy Decimal" drinks.

You can pick up a "muddler" in any kitchen type store or section (Amazon has them).

The drink is actually called an Irish Mojito.  It has many variations.  For this version it took three people - bartender, buddy and myself a few rounds (trial and error) to figure it out.  There is a good chance a little too much time was spent at a lake side bar and grille on Lake Winnipesaukee during a guys weekend.  The whiskey in the final version was Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey (Jamison works also).  Switched to Dewar's for name and comedy value for this thread (probably doesn't matter what Irish whiskey is used).  They go down very smooth on hot summer day - they WILL sneak up on you.  Might have to break them out at Charlie Brown and/or Acadia this year.
