Title: When traveling to Arcadia
Post by: Timpsd02 on May 28, 2018, 05:46:37 pm
Does everyone from the jersey, Pennsylvania area drive straight through or make stops on the way?  If you stop where? For how many days and what do you do in that area?

We've overnighted near Freeport Maine before.  Can always buy more gear on the way. :)

you can overnight at LL Bean in freeport for free....dry camping, but has advantages of being near outlets....

there are also two campgrounds in freeport....

there is cabelas in south portland, ME, with a dump station....bayleys is in scarborough, which is basically south portland....

portland has some good eats and a few things to do.....

there are campgrounds in wells and kennebunk which are nice....bayley's in

also old orchard beach (like the jersey shore, i think, boardwalk, etc)......old orchard beach would be good for a couple three days....

We are not allowed to drive thru New England without stopping at Wolfwood. Maine requires a stop to and from.
