Thanks.  Those are great floorplans.

And good tip on access with slides still in.  A few times it would have been nice to eat inside when weather has been bad but would have to deploy our rear bed to set up the table.  (Outback 26RS).

Oh, I'm ready for it.  I found the thing in the compass that kept making it move and now I'm sure it will be easier to navigate.  ;)

Looks great nathan. Always impressed by your guys projects. I fear my boat would sink and I would electrocute myself.

There was the moment when it was backed into the water.  I'll tell you that was an open question on whether a $700 pontoon really floats.  ;)
Good news: the answer is yes.  :)

Ok, here are some pics.  Switching from gas to electric made me rethink things a bit.  It was easy though since everything but the deck was a rotting mess.  ;)

Built my own console:

Added a box for the batteries:

Added some solar charging:

And a 4 bank charger for when shore power is available:

Of course need a cutoff switch, navigation lights and USB power for toys:

Its by no means a high end boat, but let's say it fits in on our lake..... Except for the propulsion.... No 2 stokes here. ;)

Oh, and it has been a lot of fun so far and I'm guessing its just beginning.

Yeah, my son took the controls and didn't give them up.  Fortunately he seems to be a natural at it.  :)

Ok, finished my solar powered pontoon boat project.

I'll post more details, but it's an '81 donor platform.  We added 48v of batteries along with some solar panels to extend our range on sunny days.  4mph with a 3 hour range without solar.  Top speed is about 5 so no tubing.  :)
I think we could go indefinitely in sunny conditions at about 2.5 mph.

Onboard 120v charging for when docked.

No gasoline, no exhaust and very little noise.   Plus a lot of fun when people see the solar panels.
