Title: My new best friend for cleaning off the 5'vr nose
Post by: egregg57 on August 31, 2016, 06:46:50 am
Krud Kutter.

Wow! I thought I was on to something when I found that hand sanitizer zips off pine sap, and it does that really well. But this!!

So I killed most every bug on my way down and back from Williamsburg. Thier carcasses plastered the nose of my fifth wheel. Car wash soap didn't touch it, bug and tar remover...ehhh...

I sprayed Krud Kutter over the entire nose, let it stand about a minute and with a car wash brush, removed everything! Black and brown waves of junk just came off. It took 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it.

I followed the cleaning with McGuire's Gold wash and wax and the nose is squeaky clean.

It worked so good that I looked for some black streaks. I sprayed those, waited a minute and brushed the area...blam clean. It removed everything I found that wasn't supposed to be on the finish.

I really recommend you try it if you have a tough job. I think we originally found this at the dollar store or it might have been in Lowes.

Give it a try! I bet you'll love it!

I think we'd love it even more if you'd demonstrate it on each of our trailers. 2 coats of wax please!  :)

but in all seriousness, thanks for the post....looking for something to do a pre wash on the nose of the coach to quickly remove bugs before i do the one step wash and wax......so i will give this a try....the only thing that catches more bugs than the nose of your 5'er is the windshield and front of my coach....

i see it is available at my local home depot as well, which is a nice bonus.....

I will take a picture of the nose when I get home. Wish I had taken a before photo. At least you can see the result.

Well i a quick wash of my windshield and front this afternoon and Eric hit the nail on the head this stuff is great. Hands down the best wash I have tried. Made a stiff solution, mopped it on and let it sit for 3-4 mins and then lightly went over it with the mop headed brush and it broke up the bugs big time with the least amount of effort I have ever had to use. Can't wait to try it on the alloy rims but want to fully read the label before i do. It is great stuff for bugs that for sure. Great find Eric and thanks for posting !

A gallon of concentrate at my local Home Depot was $13

And i love that's it's fully biodegradable, too

Which krud kutter did you buy? There's a ton of different ones on the website.

I had some hard water spots and soapscum building up on my shower door enclosure in the coach. It's a clear plexi enclosure and it was starting to look pretty poor. It's a shower enclosures of America unit. I tried the krud kutter on it. Worked absolutely fantastic. Sprayed on, let sit 5 mins. Spayed on again, then jumped in the shower and washed with a wash cloth. Doors are not 100% but 90% clean. I waxed them on the inside when I first got the coach to help with build up so that may be a factor. I'm gonna clean them again in a day or two and then wax again. But it did a great job on them.

It's nice finding something that helps! I am cautious about using it on plastics and things like that.

 Did you dilute it Paul?

i used the pre mixed spray bottle that you used on your 5'er eric...worked great...

i read the bottle carefully and there really isn't much you can't use it on.....really nice that it is bio degradable and non toxic as well....

it was perfectly fine on the tub enclosure and plexi glass doors.  also, it mentions on the bottle as being good for shower enclosures....
