CB Radio Mount- Dodge Ram 2500
« on: March 07, 2011, 10:42:52 pm »
Anyone have exeperience mounting a CB Radio into a dodge ram 2500 with a stick shift?

I really like this setup and thinking about trying to copy it for my truck...

Well, that idea is out of the running now that I have my sirius radio mounted in and around that cubby hole area.

On another note, check out this antenna mount...

It goes right on the fender of the truck. There is already a cable knockout in the door  panel to run the coax right inside. Almost like dodge engineers knew people wanted to put an atenna right there!

I haven't personally used a hood mount but I can see all kinds of bad things happening to your hood from that. If you don't want to drill, I'd go with a bed stake hole mount. I've used these in a dual configuration in the past with great success. Stong enough for a 6' skipshooter without any damage to the bed.

Just my two cents...

Is the tool box bolted to the Truck bed?

Eric- just saw you replied here.

Yes. tool box is mounted to the bed and I ran a heavy ground strap from the antenna mount to the bed so it has a good ground.
