It happened
« on: October 23, 2017, 11:38:26 pm »
 It's something that's usually in the back of our minds, but can happen. For Kath and I today was the day. We were rearended by a semi today on route 40 in Tennessee. Kath is ok I'm ok and Emma is ok. Thank god!!! We are very stiff and sore. The camper is a total lose and my truck isn't too good either. The semi actually snapped the pul rite hitch in half and pushed it through the back of the cab while still attached to the pin. We were 15 minutes from the campgound.

Kevin;
So glad everyone is OK; that's the important thing! At least it's at the end of the camping season, and not at the beginning..  This is just awful..  praying that the road ahead, in making your family whole again, is smooth..

thank God you All are okay!! Bruised but not bent is a thing to be thankfuk for!!!

Sorry to hear about camper and truck!!

Hopefully insurance companies step up and it is taken care of correctly .....

Hopefully no ireplaceable things were damaged in camper .....

Reminder to be safe out there !!! So so many distracted drivers ..... I see people all over the place ..... Reading phones arguments etc..... I try to stay safely behind or honk past to be safely in front ...... But it is becoming so increasingly difficult with so many

Again glad to hear health is good .... If u need anything give me a shout .....

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and support. It's been crazy, even with the help we're getting from the SE Campers. Kath was in the hospital and I was still on the highway with the police and Lester from the SECfound us a pet friendly place to stay. So today my insurance company sent their adjuster out, the trailer is totalled and the truck probably will be too. 2007 with 60,000 miles  :'(

I'll get some pics up

Thanks again guys

Well we made it home, although it's bittersweet. Looking out and seeing an empty spot where the camper should be. :'(. The truck did great on the way home, started out slow and after 20 miles or so I felt ok with picking up the pace. Our heads are spinning, sometimes literally, having issues with bending over and getting back up without being unsteady. So now we need to find room for all our things. Again thanks for all the well wishes! Maybe we'll be on the road again someday.
