Memorial Day week trip - Florida Panhandle
« on: May 22, 2011, 09:30:18 am »
John and I are leaving on Sunday, May 29 for a week in the Florida Panhandle.  We are really looking forward to it since we did not go last year due to the oil spill.  Plus, this year we are hitting a new spot for us - Ft. Pickens National Park.  It reopened last year after being closed a few years due to hurricane damage.
We will be at Ft. Pickens for 3 nights and then head over to our favorite park, Henderson Beach State Park, on Wendesday until Saturday, June 4.
If anyone else is going to be at either park during that time, let us know.  Safe travels and a great Memorial Day to all.  Phillip

Phillip,

You two have a safe trip.  We'll be at the old stand by Rainbow Springs for Memorial Day weekend.  We'll keep it cool on the river.  Ya'll enjoy the beach.

We had a great time at Ft. Pickens National Seashore.  Awesome beaches, clear, clean water.  Nice things to see and do.  Nature at its best.  We will return, for sure!  Phillip and John

We just missed yall at Fort Pickens. We were there the second week of June. You are so right. The beaches there are unbelievable. Sugar power sand, Gulf coast is known for that, and crystal clear emerald green water. It is so beautiful there.
